Simple daily habits that help keep your gums comfortable and healthy between dental visits.
Healthy gums are firm, pale pink and do not usually bleed. Brushing gently twice a day with a soft brush and cleaning between your teeth once a day does most of the work.
Avoid brushing too hard, replace your toothbrush every three months or so, and book regular check-ups so any early changes can be spotted. If your gums are sore, swollen or bleed regularly, speak to your dentist.
